“Det så ikke ud af noget særligt dengang. Det var temmelig misrøgtet, så vi brugte faktisk rigtig lang tid på at restaurere og føre huset tilbage til et enkelt udtryk. Jeg går jo meget ind for enkelthed og ægthed,” siger Annette Trampedach. “Vi brugte så meget tid på det, at mine børn klager over, at de aldrig kom nogen steder som børn. De siger, at jeg altid sad på en stige med en malerkost i hånden,” griner hun. “Det var en stor mundfuld, men jeg elsker den slags forvandlinger. Når jeg ser et hus, kan jeg ikke lade være at forestille mig, hvordan det ville se ud, hvis man lige rev den veranda ned og så videre.”
